Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Department of Science and
Technology (ITN), Linköping University, Sweden
We invite applications for a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship
in the Mobile Telecommunications group. The position is on full
employment basis with all social benefits. The successful candidate will
perform research in automated planning and optimization of broadband
radio access, with focus on High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) cellular
networks. The research will be conduced within an EU FP7 Marie Curie
Industry Academia Partnership and Pathways (IAPP) project. The research
tasks consist in the development of concepts, optimization models and
algorithms, simulation modules, and integrated tool for HSPA network
planning and radio resource management.
A candidate is expected to demonstrate strong commitment to top quality
research in cellular network planning and optimization. Experience in
managing research projects is highly desirable. In addition to research,
the position includes a very limited amount of teaching (at most 20% of
full time) at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Qualifications:
– A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, or a closely related field.
– knowledge in wireless network planning and engineering, optimization
models and algorithms, and network simulation.
– a solid track record of research experience and achievements
– excellent communication skills in English.
Salary:
The University applies individual salary scales. An indicative salary
range of a postdoc position on a full-employment basis is 2,500-3,000
Euros per month before tax. Please specify a salary level in your
